| CHARLESTON LAKE COTTAGE RENTALS - RENTAL CONTRACT
1. The person signing below is responsible for the booking and must be 30 years of age or older, have their own drivers license and their own credit card. This person will be held responsible for charges concerning, but not limited to, the following, and this applies whether or not this person himself stays at the cottage.2. Cottage telephones are for INCOMING, non-collect calls only, or OUTGOING COLLECT calls only. Should the owner be billed for any calls from their phone during your stay, you will be charged double on your credit card; a copy of the bill and your credit card receipt will be mailed to you. This could be a couple of months after your stay, due to slowness of billing and snail mail, some coming and going to the states. 3. FIRE BANS: if there is an Ontario or County-wide fire ban, this means ALL fires are banned, even in designated fire pits. Please check with the marina before starting ANY fires. There is a $500 fine for fires during a Fire Ban. Note: Several of the cottages have stone pits for outdoor fires. NO FIRES ALLOWED outside a prior-built designated pit, especially on the islands. It is VERY DIFFICULT to get a fire truck to an island!! Please note that NO CANS, BOTTLES or bottle caps should be thrown into the fires or onto the grounds. Cans, bottles, bottle caps (and cigarette butts) belong in your garbage containers. $10/ea shall be assessed to your credit card if found where they shouldn't be. 4. Garbage should either be taken with you, or left at Kelsey's Marina in designated area, @ $4/bag. We make trips to the dump only on Saturdays, which is the only day we will accept your garbage bags/boxes, upon your checking out at 10:00 a.m. 5. Damages caused by pets or children shall be charged to your credit card. $25 minimum charge for dog droppings or toys left in immediate areas, at our discretion. 6. Quiet time is 10 pm until 8 am. There is a $250 fine added to your credit card if we get neighbor complaints about noise, discourteous, or dangerous behavior at any time; charges for neighbor complaints are not negotiable. 7. Cancellation fee of $250 will be charged to your credit card if you renig on your reservation less than sixty days prior to your scheduled check-in time. 8. Last day: floors will be swept/vacuumed, kitchen and bath cleaned and cottage left in as good or better condition as upon arrival. In signing below, I authorize Kelsey's Marina to charge my credit card, below, for damages or other fees, outlined but not limited to the above, without argument. Damages are considered broken, lost or destroyed items that were not that way upon guests' arrival. ~We are sorry to have to impose the above rules, but they have all been brought about by experience in renting cottages~ I have read, understand and agree to the above, as well as items contained on this agreement
